Licking County Library Hosts New York Times Bestselling Author Jeff Shaara

Jeff Shaara will speak at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 17 at the Newark Library in Meeting Room A as a part of our CW150 commemoration program series.

Jeff is the New York Times bestselling author whose work spans from the Civil War to World War II and include The Steel Wave, The Rising Tide, To the Last Man, The Glorious Cause, Rise to Rebellion, and Gone for Soldiers. His two books, Gods and Generals and The Last Full Measure, complete the Civil War trilogy that began with his father's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic The Killer Angels.

He will be discussing his newest novel, A Blaze of Glory, which covers the battle of Shiloh. The next two works, featuring Vicksburg and Sherman’s march to the sea, will be released in 2013 and 2014.  For more about Jeff Shaara, please visit his website.

Seating is limited and the meeting room doors open at noon. For more information, call 740-349-5553. The library will have limited copies of his books for sale after the program for him to autograph. Hardbacks will be $20 and paperbacks $13.
